People who are looking at autumn to take flights to Cuba will have plenty of events to enjoy if they head to the south of the island. One destination of the Caribbean nation to visit is Bayamo, which will be showcasing two fun-packed attractions over the latter part of the year. First up in October is the Fiesta of Cubanism, an annual event that is celebrated across the entire region over the month. Here, tourists will be treated to a large parade that passes through Bayamo, complete with people dressed in eye-catching costumes, as well as puppeteer and clown acts. Meanwhile, the Spanish military’s defeat in Cuba on October 18th 1868 will also be honoured via a host of art exhibitions and film showings. The following month will see Bayamo the centre of attention once again, this time with the Festival Improvisation for Children and Young People. People who visit this city on tours in Cuba during this event will be treated to a host of music performances with a Cuban twist from the island’s adults and youngsters.
