There are now many more hotels in Cuba for visitors to choose from when they book holidays in the country, according to operators.
Speaking to Prensa Latina news agency, head of promotion at the Cubanacan Hotels Group Miguel Bruguera said the company now operates 52 hotels in Cuba, and aims to build new four and five-star hotels in the country.
He cited El Salton as one of the most beautiful sites in the mountainous Sierra Maestra region, while Hotel Versailles is often chosen by VIPs and political leaders.
The hotel chain’s expansion is part of the new economic goals for Cuba, which aim to improve the efficiency of services and bring in more tourists, and Cubanacan Hotels now cover much of the east of the country.
Cubanacan Hotel brands include Horizontes, Club Amigo, Brisas and Hoteles E, and the company operates a large number of hotels in Havana, Varadero, Santa Clara and Santa Lucia.
